educational outreach

Besides our increasingly popular theatre classes, Bay Colony Productions is also focused on creating educational outreach programs that will benefit the community we are part of. We have many more visions for expansion, but at this time we have three programs in place that promote the importance of the performing arts as well as provide educational value to local school systems.

Consent

In collaboration with Norfolk District Attorney Bill Keating, we have developed and tested Consent as a successful tool to promoting alcohol awareness. For more information on this wonderful program, please see our Consent page.

Connecting with Shakespeare

We also schedule matinee performances throughout the year and invite local school systems to attend at significantly discounted rates.

Always included in our season is a classic Shakespearean production which has been a useful tool for many schools as a means to help students connect with Shakespearean works. We have shown Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer Night's Dream and Macbeth in the past with great success.

Special School Matinees

In addition, we also schedule special school matinees of our family-friendly musicals and other events.
