Michael is happy to join the Bay Colony Productions team as Director of Education. Michael is no stranger to theatre, having directed, choreographed and performed in many shows over the years. Bay Colony audiences may remember Michael as Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors. In 2006, he also directed the highly successful production of Peter Pan. Michael has had the pleasure of working with many theatres in the area and is proud to be a member of the EMACT (Eastern Massachusetts Association of Community Theatres) DASH Consulting team. Three of his productions have been nominated for over 25 EMACT awards. Bay Colony Productions at the Orpheum Theatre offers something for all ages. It is never too soon or too late to become part of an exciting community theatre.
DORI BRYAN
Theatre Arts Director
A BFA graduate of the Boston Conservatory of Music, Dori holds a Teaching Certificate from the Dance Teachers' Training of America. An award-winning director and choreographer, Dori has been teaching and mentoring our youth in the areas of acting, dance, musical theater, and choreography for the past 25 years. Dori has received numerous awards, including Most Inspirational Teacher, Best Directed Workshop from The Boston Conservatory, Who's Who Among America's Best Teachers, as well as Recognition for Excellence in Direction, Choreography and Acting in national competitions. Dori was named Best Choreographer of 2006 by The Sun Chronicle for her work at the Orpheum Theater in Foxboro. Dori has also worked as the Resident Director/Choreographer at the Buckley Performing Arts Center at Massasoit Community College.
KASSANDRA GRANT
Kassandra has studied dance for many years, and holds a degree in Dance
Education and Studio Management from UMass Amherst. She went on to pursue a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education and is a 1st grade teacher in Norwell.
MICHAEL TEIXTEIRA
Michael has spent the last 20 years working as a theater professional in the United States, spending his time as a lighting designer, set designer, technical director and stage manager Michael Has been the resident Tech Director and Lighting designer at the Orpheum for the last 12 years. He has worked with all ages and skill sets ,His goal through out his time at the Orpheum is to educate the techs that have work with him and help train them for a future in the theatre entertainment industry. As a teacher he has conducted training on Rigging systems, lighting systems, scenic construction, control consoles and stage/Production management. As a technician he has worked on 5 national tours and 4 productions in Las Vegas. Educated at Salem State College as a theatre major in scenic and lighting design. Michael currently works for Advanced Lighting & Production services (ALPS).
